Nigel Andrews. Nigel Andrews possesses a broad range of executive experience in industrial and financial services businesses. As a senior executive for 13 years, Mr. Andrews was closely involved in the transformation of General Electric by its former CEO, Jack Welch. Mr. Andrews currently serves in an advisory capacity for Internet Capital Group and Dimensional Media, among other companies. He is a Board Member of Great Lakes Chemical Corporation, Old Mutual plc and the Victory Funds. Previously, Mr. Andrews was a veteran of General Electric Company, where he began his 13-year career as the Vice President - Corporate Business Development, reporting to the Chairman. Over the years, he worked as a VP of several business units, including GE Silicones, GE Plastics-America and as the Executive Vice President of GE Capital Corporation. Mr. Andrews ended his career at GE in the Office of the CEO of GE Capital. Mr. Andrews holds an MBA in Business Administration from the London
School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from
the University of Sheffield in England. In 1996 Mr. Baan founded the Vanenburg Group, which is a venture capital company, investing in innovative IT companies. He holds several Supervisory Board positions in American, Dutch and Israeli based start-ups, where he gives entrepreneurial advice. In 1998 Mr. Baan founded the Noaber Foundation, a charity foundation and social venture capital fund focusing on ICT-initiatives in developing and emerging countries. Noaber aims to assist local people in establishing sustainable income sources through innovative business models, leveraging these people in the network economy and modern society. In addition to Noaber, Mr. Baan recently initiated the creation of a private equity fund called George Avenue BV, a social venture fund aimed at the information and communications technology sectors. Assistive technologies for disadvantaged people and the creation of employability in under-invested areas are the focus of George Avenue. Such a social venture fund may create only a modest financial return, but it can produce a dedicated social return. Mr. Baan holds a Master of Economy degree from the University of
Groningen as well as a Bachelor degree from the Technical College of
Enschede. Prior to joining Thayer, Mr. Goettman spent over twelve years in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and private equity and completed more than forty transactions with a combined aggregate value in excess of $12 billion. During his investment banking career, Mr. Goettman was a Managing Director in the Technology Group at Robertson Stephens & Company, where he initiated and led the Electronic Manufacturing Products and Services practice. During his four years at Robertson Stephens, Mr. Goettman was instrumental in more than a dozen mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $1 billion. Mr. Goettman received his Master of Business Administration from
Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Computer
Science and Economics, with honors, from Duke University magna cum
laude. Mr. Hahn started his venture capital career at Heizer Corporation, a major Chicago-based venture capital firm. After this Mr. Hahn founded Princeton/Montrose Partners, a venture capital partnership specializing in life science technology, agribusiness, food, energy and natural resource related investments. In 1987, Mr. Hahn joined the health-care team of Alan Patricof Associates as a General Partner. Mr. Hahn received his BA degree from Occidental College, and his
MBA degree from the Anderson School of Management, UCLA. Prior to the formation of EnerTech, Mr. Lincoln was the founder, President and CEO of Deven Resources, Inc., a specialty firm dedicated to the acquisition and development of oil and gas properties and related assets. From 1984 to 1991, he was a Partner with CMS Companies, a Philadelphia-based private equity and financial services firm specializing in real estate, communications properties and venture capital investments. Mr. Lincoln began his career with UGI Corporation, a diversified energy and utility holding company, where he was engaged in several capacities in both the regulated and non-regulated divisions of UGI. Mr. Lincoln holds a B.A. with Honors in Geology from Colgate University
(1978) and an M.S. in Energy Management and Policy from the University
of Pennsylvania (1982). Mr. Lincoln is presently chairman of the board
of Sixth Dimension, Inc. and serves on the boards of several EnerTech
portfolio companies including ICG Commerce, Inc. and Orcom Solutions. Mr. Murdoch is also Chairman of FASTNET Corporation (NASD:FSST), based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. FASTNET is an Internet Service Provider, growing rapidly through acquisitions. Mr. Murdoch is on the Board of Directors of Founders' Bank, a subsidiary of Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc. (NASD: SUSQ), V-Span, Inc., ProCaveo Inc., and Fiberlink, Inc. Mr. Murdoch has been Acting CFO at Fiberlink and V-Span at various times over the last four years. Sales, for both companies, doubled each year during that time and they were able to attract strategic investors such as Comcast, Goldman Sachs and GE Capital. Mr. Murdoch was Chief Financial Officer for Internet Capital Group (NASD: ICGE), a development company for B2B e-commerce companies, from 1997 until June 1998. He was responsible for equity and bank financing, strategic planning and SEC exemptions, which were key to the company's IPO in August 1999. Internet Capital, at its high, had a market capitalization in excess of $50 billion. Prior to 1997, Mr. Murdoch was the Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance and Treasurer for Airgas, Inc. (NYSE: ARG), a distributor of industrial gases and welding supplies. Between 1987 and 1990, Mr. Murdoch was Vice President-Corporate Development. Mr. Murdoch is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton
School of Finance, earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics, with
majors in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management. He also received
a Masters in Business Administration from New York University. As a Portfolio Manager for Schafer Capital Management and Schafer Cullen Capital management, Mr. Schafer managed the $2.5 Billion Strong Schafer Value Fund as well as other accounts in excess of $1 Billion for the States of Virginia and Washington, Xerox, INCO and Chubb. Prior to founding Schafer Capital and Schafer Cullen Capital, Mr. Schafer was a Portfolio Manager with INCO where he was responsible for the company's pension plan. Mr. Schafer earned a B.A from DePauw University and an M.B.A. from
New York University. Prior to Schroder Ventures, Mr. Yort was a Principal of Aurora Capital Group, an Associate with the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Morgan Stanley's Corporate Finance Department and a financial analyst for Salomon Brothers Inc.
